Mrs. Theresa Clark, K-8 Principal
tclark@vcanc.com
Reflecting on my past experiences, I believe that God has been preparing me my entire life to be placed in this leadership position. I was fortunate to be raised in a Christian home. When the church doors opened, we were there. Throughout my youth, my parents encouraged me to stay focused on being obedient to the Lord. Being born and reared in North Carolina, I graduated from the University of North Carolina, received my Masters of Education from Campbell University, and earned my Principal’s Certificate from East Carolina University. I have served in the field of education for 30 years, as a teacher, mathematics coach, and curriculum specialist. My love of children, my passion for learning, and my devotion to our God led me to Village Christian Academy.
My primary goal is to keep our focus on the power that comes from being united in Christ. As Corinthians 7:7 tells us, “Each has their own gifts from God.” These gifts, when used together, bring the potential of true spiritual growth in the lives of our young people. Each of our teachers brings forth the talents that God has given them to encourage each of their students to live as Christ has modeled and to master meaningful academic material that will ensure their success in the future. I wish to foster love, respect and reverence for God in each of our students. I want to partner with parents as they train and mold their children to love, follow, and serve the Lord. The integration of faith and academic knowledge aids students in developing biblical worldview principles through which they should filter their words and actions. My goal is to challenge each student to maximize their God-given talents academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
If you are not already a part of the VCA family, I encourage you to stop in for a campus tour. I know that you will immediately feel the warm, vibrant spirit that exists within the halls and classrooms of our buildings. You are invited to become a part of a Christian school family and the powerful influence that it can have on your life and the life of your student.
