Director
We welcome your inquiry concerning admission into Village Christian Academy. Village provides an educational program that is Christian in process and content. Each child is encouraged to pursue academic excellence in a Christian environment that equips students with a Biblical worldview so that they may recognize and then live God’s plan for their lives. Please follow the admission procedure and call Mrs. Leta Spain, Admissions Director, (910) 483-5500 (ext. 262), with your questions or to schedule a tour of our beautiful campus. We look forward to sharing with you the blessings that the Lord has so graciously bestowed on Village Christian Academy. May God direct you as you seek a school home for your family.
Village Christian Academy is a Christ-centered school which functions as a service to the larger Christian community on behalf of Village Baptist Church. The hallmark of the Academy is its commitment to develop the individual student's full potential in Christ. We encourage applications from all Christian families who are seriously interested in the school's programs. In keeping with the mission statement of the school, we seek excellence in Christ as well as diversity in our student body. Village Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national origin, or ethnicity to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities made available at the school.
The Academy accepts students based upon a personal interview with the child and parents, information learned through the admissions screening process, prior scholastic records, and testing. Through these criteria, the school seeks to admit children who clearly demonstrate the following:
-
An acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord by the student and one of the parents, or the legal guardian and are active in a local, Bible believing church
-
A likelihood of academic success within a Christ-centered, academic environment
-
High moral character
-
The ability to adapt to standards that accompany a Christ-centered education in a Christian atmosphere
Incoming Kindergartners are screened for developmental readiness for our Kindergarten program. Testing may be required for grades 1-12 at the discretion of the Principal. Priority consideration in the admissions process is given to siblings of students currently enrolled at the Academy, families who are members of Village Baptist Church, and graduates of the Village Pre-School Program.
