Carolina Day remains at the top of the heap in the 2-A poll this week. The Wildcats are the only undefeated team left in the NCISAA as first year coach Joe Carrington has his youthful squad playing very well. Carolina Day picked a pair of wins last week over CAA foes Rabun Gap and Asheville School. Village Christian leaps to number two in the poll this week after handing Fayetteville Christian their first loss of the season. The Knights are currently 13-2 with their only two setbacks coming at the hands
of # 1 Carolina Day. 6'2" sophomore Hillary Summers, point guard Abby Strickland and Allie Patrick have been VCA's mainstays thus far. Perennial powerhouse Victory Christian holds on to third after faltering in the fourth quarter in their loss to 3-A Providence Day. This week's # 4 squad, Carolina Friends picked up three wins this past week including a 33-28 victory over Asheville Christian vaulting Coach Patience Vanderbush's Quakers to 14-2 on the year.

United Faith continues to sit in the driver's seat in the 1-A's as they defeated 3-A cannon School and 2-a Gaston Day. However the Falcons may have suffered a big blow in the Cannon win as senior point guard Simon Javeska left the game with a knee injury and did not return. Her status as of now is unknown. Hobgood Academy who has an 11 game winning streak comes in at # 2 this week after taking wins over Ridge croft and Trinity of Greenville. The Raiders only loss was to Faith Christian back on December 4. The ladies of Word of God hold down the third slot this week as they won big over Oak Ridge and Oakwood School, whose only loss was to Village Christian in the Rocky Mount Academy Christmas Tournament is fourth with a record of 13-1.
