High School at Village
prayerfully preparing for your future
VCA’s goal is to help develop young adults’ relationship with God as well as their relationships with their peers. We are a college prep school and want our students to be prepared academically as well as spiritually.
Students are encouraged to be involved in extra-curricular activities through the following club offerings: Student Government Association, Future Business Leaders of America, Key Club, Spanish Club, Red Cross Club, Environmental Club, Latin Club, National Honors Society and Chapel Club.
Student led chapels allow for increased opportunities for high school students to put their faith into action. Spiritual development culminates with an overseas senior mission trip where students experience the power of service and sharing the gospel. In past years, students have served in Italy, Spain, Romania, Africa, Honduras, Costa Rica and Argentina. Seniors will visit Costa Rica in 2019.
Counselors help guide students and parents through the high school and college preparatory process. AP classes are offered for dual high school and college credit in nine subjects. Junior and senior students are allowed to take online classes through the Fayetteville Technical Community College’s High School Connections program.
Students eligible for graduation must have 28 credits, or 4 less credits than the maximum number of credits available during their high school career. Each course at VCA is worth 1 credit.
Students are required to maintain a 2.0 during their enrollment.
Athletes compete in football, boys and girls soccer, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, baseball, softball, swimming, cheerleading, cross country, boys and girls tennis.
Honors courses are available for English, math, science and history courses. The following AP courses are available: Biology, Chemistry, European History, American History, Government, Literature, Language, Statistics, Calculus and Environmental Science.
