Elementary students enrolled in kindergarten through second grade are taught by certified teachers and teacher assistants. In third and fourth grade, certified teachers work together as team teachers. A transitional class between kindergarten and first grade supplies students with more intense training before entering first grade. All the elementary classes instruct in a nurturing atmosphere while challenging students. This insures that all receive a thorough, well-grounded foundation through the curriculums based on ACSI and ABeka. Extra enrichment is offered for each class through weekly attendance in art, music, computer, band, library science, chapel, the Accelerated Reading Program, and physical education. Students participate in field trips that afford learning outside the classroom. Our students leave elementary grades with a love for learning and a love for school.
During the formative years of middle school , students find stimulating classes that promote academics, responsibility, and critical thinking. With the use of ASCI, Summit Ministries, and Prentice Hall curriculums, students receive a well-rounded and challenging course of study. In addition to core classes such as English, math, science, history, and Bible, students may choose electives in fine arts, technology, and physical education that broaden their scope of learning. With weekly chapel services and various community and missions service projects, students not only grow in their relationship with the Lord but also put their faith into action. There are also opportunities to participate in ASCI competitions, which includes both academic and fine arts events or to compete athletically in one of nine JV sports or three middle school sports. By the time, students complete their eighth grade year, they are prepared to handle the academic challenges that await them in high school.
Academics have a high priority in the high school. To help them prepare and advance in their future scholastic endeavors, students may select from honors, advanced placement, and college credit courses. In addition to those courses, students may choose from a variety of electives in technology, fine arts, physical education, business, and writing. Weekly chapel services and community service projects enable students to deepen their faith.
