ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
Grades K-5th

The elementary day begins at 8:00am with morning prayer and pledges.  Each Wednesday, students head to the VBC Worship Center for a time of praise and worship. Our chapels begin with praise songs, followed by a message incorporating the school theme for the year. We welcome parents to be a part of this weekly experience!

Spiritual development is important at all levels of a student's life.  Love, trust, and obedience are the focus of elementary goals for spiritual growth.

Village offers a rigorous academic curriculum through ABEKA and other resources and textbooks. We offer enrichment through the K-2 Discovery Program and the 3rd-6th grades Academically Gifted program.  We partner with Longleaf Academy to work with students with dyslexia. ACSI Competitions throughout the year include Math Olympics, a Spelling Bee and Art competition.

Elementary enrichment classes that students visit once per week, include art, music, media center, STEM, Spanish, and PE. A full time elementary counselor provides additional resource opportunities for K-5th grade students through lessons on social, emotional and behavioral topics.

Students in 4th and 5th grades may qualify for membership in the Elementary Beta Club. Members of the Elementary Beta Club must meet academic qualifications. These students participate in monthly service projects as well as a curriculum focused on leadership development. In January, Beta members have an opportunity to participate in the state convention.

Fun, fellowship, and love for school are found in various spirit weeks. Students participate in Homecoming Theme Week, Read Across America Spirit Week, and holiday based theme days.

Our goal in our elementary division is to help students develop a healthy love of learning and increase their knowledge of the Bible and an increased relationship with our Father.
